Brother-ease

The type of language spoken from a mother to an infant is referred to as "mother-ease." You know, the high pitched, sing song, big smiles, sweet talk spoken to a tiny baby to elicit smiles and coos. "Yes, that's my sweet baby! uh huh! That's right!" It is also called parent-ease in my textbooks (to make it fair to dads too I guess) Well Ben and Thomas take part in "brother-ease" which would be their special voice, noises, growls, chirps and squeaks up in her face to get her to smile at them. Thomas also uses a swirling banana peel. It works though, and Molly regularly smiles and coos at her brothers. Ben's technique is a cat meow or growl. Thomas likes to quote VBS Bible verses in song and shake her hands or spin the banana peel in her face. He's very resourceful.
