The story
Here is the short version of Molly's birth story. We all know about the false alarms. Thursday morning I was still only dilated to 3 cm. Dr. Holland said it wasn't time yet, but when she did come it would come quick. Thursday night at 7:00, I felt a few contractions that were very strong but irregular, like 20 minutes or so apart. Then after a warm shower and laying down, they didn't stop which made me take notice. They got more painful though. Then there were 2 contractions that were very strong! I could tell Josh was a little worried because his eyeballs opened a little wide and he went to go get the watch to keep time better. Then when I had one more that was very painful we decided to go to the hospital immediately. When we got there at 8:00 I was dilated to 6 cm and 100% effaced and her head was very low. She was ready to be born and quickly! At 10:00 I was at 8 cm. At 11:19 after a few pushes she was born. Somewhere between 8:00 and 10:00 they did an epidural that didn't take, then redid the epidural which also didn't work. Molly was born and Mama felt all of it. It's all over now and she's here and beautiful and healthy and changing before our eyes.
